Once upon a time, a
long, long time ago, I believed that the "thing to do" for
financial security was to get a good job, work really hard, have
a good mental attitude and always try to give my employer more
than I was being paid to do. Not that this is bad
advice—actually, it is quite good advice—but it certainly does
NOT assure financial security!
What DOES assure
financial security is always having more money coming in
than is going out. Since the amount that goes out is
sometimes beyond our apparent control, especially with the
exorbitant cost of health care, fuel prices, electrical
surcharges, etc., we can no longer rely on our paychecks,
pension payments, retirement accounts or whatever else, to keep
up. It is very wise, therefore, to creatively and aggressively
develop Multiple Streams of Income to bridge the gaps.
If you are wondering
what I mean by multiple streams of income, I will give you some
examples of my own. Currently, I am retired, and receive a
pension. We will call that my "main" income, since it is
reliable and steady. In addition to that, I receive income from
the following: (These are presented to stimulate ideas in your
mind as to how you can convert your skills and hobbies into
multiple streams of income.)

A small
printing business called ABColorprint.com.
This is a back-room specialty printing and copying business
that we operate with some computers and special Xerox
Tektronix printers. Before I retired, this was my full-time
business. Now it is very small, very part time.

A Portable
Disc Jockey and Karaoke Jockey business called "Have Music
Will Travel."
My wife, Ann, loves music very much. Years ago she expressed
an interest in learning to be a DJ, mostly because of her
judgments of how poorly other DJs performed. We started with
her collection of cassette tapes and a home entertainment
system that we bought for $400 at Costco. Our first "gig"
was a freebie for our church. We had a blast playing for the
people, and they responded by immediately "booking" us for
two paying jobs at weddings. One referral led to another,
and now we have several professional systems, meg-lighting,
wireless microphones and a collection of over 20,000
recordings. We can easily earn $3,000 per month on weekends
during the summer by going from place to place and having a
blast playing music for some great parties.

health-products and services business called "Alive and
Well!"
Years ago I learned in no uncertain terms that, if I wanted
to live a long and active life, it is absolutely essential
to take the right supplements, eat the right foods, clean
out the toxins, get the right exercise and maintain a
positive mental attitude about health and life in general.
Since I needed to learn all this stuff anyway, and, since
the best way to learn something is to prepare and teach it
to others. My wife, Ann, already was light-years ahead of me
in natural health knowledge, so it was only logical to give
back what we were learning in a way that provided us with
some compensation for our efforts. We now sell products

Book Sales.
Many years ago I developed a very effective technique for
myself to convert me from a smoker to a non-smoker.
"Quitting" was way too hard for me, so I applied what I had
been learning from my studies of self-image psychology and
hypnosis to a very targeted process for converting my
beliefs about myself to those of a non-smoker. It worked
amazingly well for me. I began teaching it to others. It
also worked for them. Finally, I allocated the time to
author a book that teaches the process plus provides
effective exercises to lead others to the same success. It
is called "Changing Your Mind About Smoking." Currently it
is being re-published as a revised and enlarged printed

Clowning
Around.
Back in 1989 my wife and I experienced a highly UN-motivated
clown at a grand opening. My wife, Ann, has always been
highly energetic and very outgoing. In comparing her energy
level to that of the clown, it occurred to me that she would
make a great clown. She was excited by the idea, and the
following week she was attending her first "FUNdamentals of
Clowning" class at Bellevue Community College. (Who knew
there ever WERE clown classes?) In the years since she has
performed many times a month at the rate of $99 per hour.
This is especially good income during the fall, winter and
spring months when mothers are looking for creative ways to
entertain children at birthday parties, etc. The best part
is, I usually get to sit at home and relax while Ann is out
bringing in an additional stream of income.

Games, gags,
face painting, balloon art.
To get me up off my butt and out playing at the parties and
picnics with Ann, I built some yard games, like Frisbee
Ring-Toss, Bean Bag Toss, Milk-bottle Throw, etc., bought
some helium balloon tanks, and learned to twist balloons. We
also now find engagements for others who clown, paint faces,
twist balloons, etc. and charge them a booking fee.

Web Page/Site
Design.
This is a skill I had to develop for myself because I didn't
want to hire others to do it. Now that it is a skill that I
enjoy doing, it is marketable. I get paid $36 per hour to
exercise my creative juices ...

Network
Marketing.
I have some strong caveats about this one, but, the truth is
that most of the extraordinary, essential health products
are only available from network marketed companies (When
they find one, they swoop down on it like vultures!) I
have two iron-clad tests that any so-called network-marketed
"opportunity" must pass before I will spend even a minute
with it. These are:

"Is this a
product or service that I would want to use, no matter
what the source of supply is?" (In other words, if they
sold it at Wal-Mart or my local grocery store, would I
still buy it?)
If the answer is "no" I am absolutely NOT interested. If
it is "yes" I go on to question number two:

If I were the
last person on Earth who had not joined the company, and
there was no-one left to "recruit," would there still be
an advantage for me to sign up? (Lower price, better
delivery options, higher quality, automated monthly
shipping, etc.)
If the answer is "no" I will likely participate only as
a retail customer. If the answer to both questions is
"yes," then I believe it would be un-wise to not
join.
Although it
seldom occurs, occasionally a company will produce such a
product, and will be structured such that it passes the
second test by providing significant wholesale discounts to
it's members. When I find such a product and company, I am
more than delighted to share the good news with friends,
family and associates. This invariably results in additional
income. I have earned up to just under $13,000 per month
from such an income stream.
I am currently a
member of two such companies. One, "Dynamite
Marketing," is the source of a product line that I
retail all over the world. Their product line is quite
excellent, and they produce specialty products for many
animal species, including humans.
The other one is
the source of two absolutely AMAZING and CRITICALLY
ESSENTIAL products! The most important of the two is "Natural
Cellular Defense." It is a specially-processed zeolite
formation that actually travels throughout your body
attracting, trapping and removing heavy metal toxins from
your cells. Given the crisis levels we are now in with
environmental
heavy metal toxicity, this is a product that absolutely
everyone on earth, with possible exception of criminals on

some of the many streams of income that I have employed to
bolster my own financial security. We recently experienced a
crisis of sorts that would have been much more of a problem if
these many income sources were not in place to compensate for
some of the losses.
