Some people would like you to believe that they "know it all." Rarely, you meet the other kind of person who would lead you to believe that they know very little, when, in fact, they possess a tremendous amount of highly useful knowledge and information. Nancy Mae Gledhill is definitely in the second, the  "quiet, useful" category.

When I first became aware of Nancy, she was attending a class that I was presenting about a new high-quality natural fertilizer product. She listened attentively, pencil-to-paper, as I rattled on with the facts and figures that I had memorized in order to "teach" something I knew little about at the time. I thought I was pulling it off until Nancy began asking very informed, very comprehensive questions about the subject. At that moment, those of us in that room became aware of how little I knew, and we got a small clue about how much Nancy knew about nutrition and growing nutritious foods. The 'teacher' quickly became the 'student.'

Since that time, Nancy and I have become good friends. I have a thirst for valid, useful information, and Nancy overflows with it. When intelligent people let me 'hang out' with them, I usually take advantage of the opportunity.

Two ways in which I repay Nancy for what she shares with me are:

1. helping her recognize that she truly has unique gifts to share, and
2. providing her with opportunities through which to share those gifts.
